Taking Risks & Breaking Hearts

Someone, please pick my jaw up off the floor! You have never seen anything like this. Youngwon Kim's Graduate Collection is insanity redefined! Nicholas Kirkwood and Charlotte Olympia have done some amazing things, but I've never seen such architectural impact in a shoe or such an artistic shoe. They're beautiful, dynamic, and inspiring- pushing boundaries. You can even switch which type of heel you're going to wear with the shoe. These shoes are an outfit within itself. Forget the accessories, or even wearing anything at all with these shoes. They rock!

Back in Black

Well, I've moved, and my closet is better than I expected, though it's filled to the gills! My room is coming together nicely and our apartment it just adorable. I cannot wait until we are more settled and we are cooking in our kitchen and just having an overall wonderful time at home.
I thought I'd come back and share this amazing little video on fashion necessity- The Chanel Jacket. It's epic and classic, and just the perfect touch of femininity and it's incredibly versatile. Anything, and everything Chanel will always be worth your time in my book. There will never be a brand like Chanel again, and it will forever remain a staple fashion house as it personifies everything that fashion embodies. Check it out...

Making Moves

Well, it's official. I'm moving out into a lovely apartment with my two best friends, and I'm insanely excited and nervous. It's beyond overwhelming. I can't help but shake these growing pains of leaving my home, my mom, and my animals. Everything I am used to is about to change, and I can't help but imagine a little me inside my head freaking out, though I am trying to control her, she's made her presence known. My attempts to silence her have included obsessing over the possibilities, the ability to decorate my own place, and all the wonderful opportunities that I am about to embrace. Independence, I think, will only help me flourish and rise to success. I am determined and able, and I know I can do it.
But anyway, enough rationalizing my feelings. We've decided to go with a rustic chic style, with a soft  and feminine color pallet. Clean lines are important to keep the apartment flowing. This Tribeca loft serves as some great inspiration as it is full of style and simplicity. Our little apartment is nothing in comparison, but I won't let it be far off either.

Clean Lines

The best thing in the world is a white wall, or in this case a white room. In my opinion, (as an interior design aficionado), there is nothing more inspiring, nothing that can so effortlessly produce creativity and illuminate such creative possibilities  This home is the perfect result of simplicity. Focusing on small details to provide unique touches to clean lines- this home makes life look easy and chic. With the collaboration of merely white and black, the eyes can relax, and the mind can flow freely.

Relations

Last year, in an effort to celebrate, as well as promote a Diane Von Furstenberg collaboration with Current/Elliot, this video, directed by Sophia Coppola, was created. Called "Writer's Block", and filled with wonderful wears, the video shares a story of a woman in frustration over her lack of creativity in her writing. As a writer, and a lover of clothes, I completely related to this video and knew I had to share it. Check it out and enjoy...

Garden Variety

At some point in my life, I plan to live in New York City. This garden terrace would be my ideal place to reside. It would be my own little oasis away from all the hustle and bustle. One of the reasons I love home- also known as Los Angeles- is the ability to grow a mini forest in your yard. My dad has always had a bit of a green thumb, and has always spoiled us in vegetation- he's probably the only person I know that can rehabilitate an orchid. Some of my fondest memories are puttering around behind him in the garden of our first house. There, he grew lovely roses and made little me feel like I was in beautiful, enchanted garden verses my plain old backyard.  So having this terrace would be the perfect reminder of home while living the sweet life in NY. Below, this terrace is webbed with greenery to bring a calm, simple atmosphere while admiring the industrial skyline. Upon going inside, a skylight would let in all the natural light one can never get in between the skyscrapers and brighten up even some of the gloomiest days. This, right here, is a dream...
