Go, Gucci, Go

Gucci will always have that iconic 1960s style that will forever be timeless. From it's simplicity, to its surrealist nature, we can understand the reason why Gucci will forever be a favorite and a fashion staple. For its Resort 2014 collection, Gucci managed to take its iconic style and morph it into this dreamy nature. Just like my previous post, this Resort collection uses neutrals to manifest a super effortless look. Looks are amped up, however, with pastels and shimmery fabrics. It's perfect, a fun wardrobe to play in.

Postcard to Paris

A letter. Inspired by Beach Belles.

In sunny L.A. from Paris. The beach is everything I imagined. The sky and the water are a powder blue I never knew existed. I was so nervous upon my arrival- how would I fit in? I heard that all anyone wears in California is denim shorts and t-shirts- a girl like me could never survive. This was until I met my newest partner in crime, Sophia. She told me to still embrace my Parisian style, but to wear it effortlessly... Deconstruct it, and always take one thing off, because who knows when we will encounter the sand and surf. She is my style twin. But her skin is like smooth honey,  tan and sun kissed, while I still am pale like a rainy day in Paris. Each day, the weather here inspires me,  though, to bare my skin. The sun is always shining, I can't resist.

Overlooked

Fashion Week in Sydney seemed to be pretty much forgotten about. As it isn't at the top of the fashion destination list, most people aren't exposed to what's beyond the top labels in cities like Paris and New York. But for people like us, who are fashion obsessed, seeing alternative and gathering inspiration from all over the globe is critical. Though I'm a little late with the sharing, I wanted to share some of my favorite collections from Australia. This one is especially unique and the perfect musings for our upcoming summer. Camilla is vibrant, playful and luxurious. It's over the top and magical. By mixing prints and textures, the line creates an unbelievable feast for the eye. When I run away and escape to lands of beaches and tropics and an overall almost miraculous setting, Camilla is what I will be wearing. Now if only I could abandon my finals, dawn these garbs, and just relax already...

I met her at Coachella....

THIS WEEKEND I WILL BE AT COACHELLA. It's my 5th year, and it's my version of Christmas. It's the best place to relax and unwind, and just have an amazing experience. All my friends go, there's always great music to listen to and discover, delicious food to eat, beautiful people and smiling faces. It's also a fashion show. Over the years, I've noticed, that not only do I have a specific uniform for the festivities, but there is definitely somewhat of a dress code. It's very indie, high waisted shorts are a must, the less clothes the better, and anything lace or embroidered is perfect. Of course, you can pair it with a flower headband and a little pair of ankle boots, and you're good to go. This year, I have wayyyyy too many outfits for the three days. But, I'm better safe than sorry. Here's a little insight into my planning process! Hope you enjoy and if you have any suggestions, I'm interested to hear! Check out dem apples...

Busy Bees

Sadly, I won't be posting as much over the upcoming weeks as I will be moving- followed by Coachella. This month is utterly exciting (minus the fact that I will have to find time for my finals and papers, as I am beginning to wrap up this school year). But that just means, more time to blog, and the post will be more personal as I will have much more time to photograph and research.
In honor of Coachella and this wonderful spring weather we're embracing, I wanted share this epic top from Stone_Cold_Fox- an awesomely indie clothing line that I'm sure you want to know about. Based out of California, designers Cydney and Dallas, make everything to order- that means once your order it, it goes into production. They put their touch on everything, making it a very personal brand. They've even transcended into home and bridal design as well. Everything from them is like a treasure. With 60 influence, vintage elegance and timeless style, Stone_Cold_Fox's Holy Tube top belongs in my arms. I can't wait to get my hands on it... Take a look.

Golden Slumbers

I'm in need of a getaway. Reality is so intense. I need to breath. To be her, to be so relaxed and confident, seems to come so easily.  But what is freedom really?

Take Me Home Tonight

Currently, I'm rounding out my midterms and counting down the days to Coachella, my next fun and fashion destination. I don't feel as if I have time for much, and all I want to do is blog, but meanwhile I'm buried in books and responsibilities. I have new ideas to share and fashion features I'm dying to get out there, yet I am confined to such a limited amount of free time. So instead of circulating the swarms of ideas in my little, filled with quite-a-lot mind, I am posting this fun Steve Madden lookbook. It radiates summer nights- being carefree and full of youth.

What a-BOOT me?

My feet have been feeling a little lonely lately. I don't know if it's because I'm stuck in a boot rut (is there such thing?) or if it's because I don't nearly have enough boots to slip my feetsies in. Being that it is still sweater weather, I have been primarily rocking my boots (riding, motorcycle, chelsea...) But this obsession seems to be on going and will continue into the warmer months. I'm suddenly fond of pairing a boot with shorts (high-waisted especially to elongate my legs) - this must be due to the California girl I've been born and bred as. I wouldn't necessarily say that describes me as a whole, but there is nothing like an effortless outfit, such as high-waisted denim shorts (vintage, preferably) and a super cool pair of shoes... especially in the epically hot months where it's almost too hard to put on clothes. ANYWAY, enough with my ramble, the point is, I love boots, and my love has grown tremendously for them, as they are definitely versatile and chic. FreePeople knows how to choose those just those types. These are the ones I can't live without. Somebody, finance me! So I can hoard all these beauties....
