Busy Bees

Sadly, I won't be posting as much over the upcoming weeks as I will be moving- followed by Coachella. This month is utterly exciting (minus the fact that I will have to find time for my finals and papers, as I am beginning to wrap up this school year). But that just means, more time to blog, and the post will be more personal as I will have much more time to photograph and research.
In honor of Coachella and this wonderful spring weather we're embracing, I wanted share this epic top from Stone_Cold_Fox- an awesomely indie clothing line that I'm sure you want to know about. Based out of California, designers Cydney and Dallas, make everything to order- that means once your order it, it goes into production. They put their touch on everything, making it a very personal brand. They've even transcended into home and bridal design as well. Everything from them is like a treasure. With 60 influence, vintage elegance and timeless style, Stone_Cold_Fox's Holy Tube top belongs in my arms. I can't wait to get my hands on it... Take a look.

Flowers and Purchase of the Week

Spring is upon, and boy, can I tell. Flowers are blooming everywhere, the weather is perfect, and my outfits are lighter. This week, I have beautiful pink Ranunculus in my bedroom- I just can't get enough, they almost surpass all my other favorite flowers to hit the number one spot, but I just can't say for certain. The dining room also has a nice pink flower this week- I'm not sure of the name, however, but I definitely admire their rustic beauty. I also needed a little infusion of spring into my daily wardrobe. My wallet was broken,  and my leopard pony hair purse from River Island was in need a some maintence, so it was perfect excuse for bright colors and floral prints. I discovered this amazing messenger bag, and a coral wallet that was also super functional. They went together so flawlessly, I opted for both, and it was totally okay as I found both at Target. Ahh, the blessing of inexpensive style. It's always important to keep your eye open for whatever finds, maybe even deals, you can encounter. They're everywhere, and your style can be found anywhere, you just got to open yourself up to that attraction, and don't let labels or trends define you.

Take Me Home Tonight

Currently, I'm rounding out my midterms and counting down the days to Coachella, my next fun and fashion destination. I don't feel as if I have time for much, and all I want to do is blog, but meanwhile I'm buried in books and responsibilities. I have new ideas to share and fashion features I'm dying to get out there, yet I am confined to such a limited amount of free time. So instead of circulating the swarms of ideas in my little, filled with quite-a-lot mind, I am posting this fun Steve Madden lookbook. It radiates summer nights- being carefree and full of youth.

Relations

Last year, in an effort to celebrate, as well as promote a Diane Von Furstenberg collaboration with Current/Elliot, this video, directed by Sophia Coppola, was created. Called "Writer's Block", and filled with wonderful wears, the video shares a story of a woman in frustration over her lack of creativity in her writing. As a writer, and a lover of clothes, I completely related to this video and knew I had to share it. Check it out and enjoy...

Just Keep Swimming...

It's very sad... I sit in class, dreaming about summer. I'm so tired of school and reading. All I can think about is escaping to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, roaming the streets of New York in a slamming pair of heels and an outfit to die for. But instead, I learn about Chaucer's Wife of Bathe and Aristotle's Poetics. To keep me occupied, (since Fashion Week is a bit out of reach), I try to think about something obtainable, like summer, which will be here sooner than I think. Upon my beach dreams and moments of freedom from being glued to books and my highlighter, I discovered Urban Outfitters' Swim Lookbook. I was delighted to see these retro inspired looks. To me, a classic swim suit will always trump a modern string bikini. A vintage style swim suit is so much more flattering to the female figure-it's not all about showing off what you have, it's about refining and defining, in order to be confident and empowering. The mix of pastels and animal prints make for an exciting new take on the older style. Now if I only I could enter these pictures, and storm the beaches along with these beautiful ladies....

L.E.A.F.

If you don't know what L.E.A.F TV is, it's time you did. Blogger, Geri Hirsch from BecauseI'mAddicted (one of my beyond favorite bloggers) and partner, Erin Falconer from Pick the Brain, created the concept of L.E.A.F as an easy way to cover all how-to's. L.E.A.F is an acronym for living, eating and fashion. Each video pans out the steps in an understandable and doable manner. They always have new and interesting recipes and ideas. It's fun, simple and definitely worth while. If you need a burst of creativity in the kitchen or in your wardrobe, L.E.A.F. can provide it. Visit their channel on YouTube!
